Delays due to overrunning engineering works19th February 2026

Due to overrunning engineering works which have now been completed, trams are running with delays between Wolverhampton Station and Edgbaston Village.

We are only able to use one platform at Winson Green. Therefore, we are running a loop of trams between Wolverhampton Station and Handsworth Booth Street. We are running a separate loop of trams between Handsworth Booth Street and Edgbaston Village. Trams are running to all stops. However, customers will need to change trams at Handsworth Booth Street to carry on with their journey.

Due to the delays in service, we have ticket acceptance in place on:

• National Express bus 79 between Wednesbury bus station and West Bromwich bus station.
• National Express bus 74 between West Bromwich bus station and Old Square, Birmingham
• All National Express buses between Colmore Row and Five Ways, Birmingham
• West Midlands Railway trains between Wolverhampton Station and Birmingham New Street
• West Midlands Railway trains between Smethwick Galton Bridge and Birmingham Snow Hill
