You can now buy your tram tickets and top up your Swift card using our new ticket machines, available at all Metro tram stops.

Convenient: There is at least one ticket machine located at each Metro stop. Whether you’re catching an early morning tram or travelling late at night, our machines are available for you to buy a wide range of ticketing options.

Quick and Easy: The user-friendly touch screens make it easy to select the best value ticket for your journey.

Ticket Options: Choose a ticket to suit your needs:

  • Single or day ticket for the zones that you will be travelling in

  • Weekly or monthly passes for even greater value

  • Season tickets for other transport modes

Ways to Pay: All our ticket machines are equipped to accept the following payment options.

  • Cash

  • Contactless debit/credit cards

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay

  • Swift Go and Swift Pay As You Go

Swift Card: Add funds, or products such as your weekly or monthly pass to your Swift Card directly at any of our ticket machines.

Every tram stop in the Metro network is equipped with at least one ticket machine, conveniently located at the entrances on one of the platforms.

Yes, you will be able to top up your Swift pay as you go card using the ticket machines.

Yes. You can pay for your ticket using cash (coins and notes, except for £50 notes). You can also pay using your debit or credit card, contactless, Apple Pay or Google Pay and Swift Go and Swift Pay As You Go.

You can purchase your tram tickets from the MyMetro App, which is available on iOS and Android and can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.

The MyMetro app allows you to buy a selection of Metro only and bus+Metro tickets, for both adult and child travellers. There is also a selection of exclusive tickets only available from the MyMetro App. Find out more here.
