From 19 September 2025
Temporary Timetable from Monday 29 September until Saturday 18 October: Service to resume to
Wolverhampton St George’s
As we prepare for the opening of phase one of the Birmingham Eastside extension, a new temporary
timetable will be in operation from Monday 29 September until Friday 18 October. During this time, trams
will depart from Wolverhampton Station and Wolverhampton St George’s every 15 minutes, between 07:00
and 19:00, Monday to Saturday.
The new timetable will ensure that the proposed service will meet our customers’ needs ahead of the
Wolverhampton St George’s stop permanently returning to passenger service in November.
From Monday 29 September until Saturday 18 October, the following service will be in operation:
Monday to Saturday
• From start of service until 07:00, trams will run every 15 minutes between Wolverhampton Station and
Edgbaston Village.
• From 07:00 until 19:00, trams will depart every 15 minutes from Wolverhampton Station and
Wolverhampton St George’s to Edgbaston Village. This means that trams will run up to every 8 minutes
between The Royal and Edgbaston Village during these times.
• From 19:00 until end of service, trams will run every 15 minutes between Wolverhampton Station and
Edgbaston Village.
Sunday
• Trams will operate every 12 minutes between Wolverhampton Station and Edgbaston Village.
Please note: Wolverhampton St George’s tram stop will not be served before 07:00 and after 19:00,
Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays.
From Sunday 19 October, works will begin to upgrade essential infrastructure at Wolverhampton St
George’s and on Broad Street in Birmingham which means that there will be the following changes to our
service:
From Sunday 19 October until Friday 31 October:
• Trams will operate between Wolverhampton Station and Library only.
From Friday 31 October:
• Trams will operate between Wolverhampton Station and Edgbaston Village.
Once these works are complete, in early November, Wolverhampton St George’s will be introduced
permanently to the timetabled service and driver training for the new stops at Albert Street and Millennium
Point will commence.

Future Service Changes
There will be some changes to services during November and December. This is to ensure that we can
continue to provide a safe, reliable and robust service once the new stops at Albert Street and Millennium
