Timetable Change from Monday 16 March – Birmingham Eastside Driver Training to Commence

We’re pleased to confirm that the construction of our new Birmingham Eastside extension is complete. The next step is driver familiarisation, as we prepare to welcome passengers to our new stops at Albert Street and Millennium Point in the coming weeks.
To support safe and effective training on the new extension, a temporary change to some services will be in place.
From Monday 16 March, the following service will be in operation:

  • Trams departing from Wolverhampton Station will run as normal and serve all stops.
  • Trams departing from Wolverhampton St George’s will terminate at Bull Street. The driver will then drive out of service to Millennium Point to complete their training and route familiarisation, rejoining the network at Corporation Street where customers can board again.

Please note: Services from Edgbaston Village towards Wolverhampton will continue to operate as normal.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this temporary change may cause. By adjusting some services to terminate at Bull Street, we’re able to maintain a frequent service across most of the network while ensuring our teams are fully prepared to connect you to the Eastside of the city as soon as possible.
