West Midlands Metro is proudly supporting Birmingham’s LGBTQ+ community once again with a special travel offer for this weekend’s Pride celebrations!
Birmingham Pride ticket holders can enjoy 20% off tram fares by using the QR code provided in an email they will receive from Pride organisers, which they will need to redeem using the MyMetro app.
Michael Reading-Skilton, Metro’s Head of Commercial, commented: “With a host of big-name acts, including Clean Bandit, Alexandra Burke, Bananarama, Vengaboys, Cascada, The Wanted and more, this year’s Birmingham Pride is likely to be bigger and better than ever.
“With more than 40,000 expected to join in the fun, the tram offers the ideal way to travel to the centre of the city without the hassle of getting caught in traffic or finding a parking space.
“Over the weekend, we’ll be showing our support for the event by offering this generous discount that reflects our ongoing commitment to equality and diversity in the region we serve.”
Alongside discounted tram fares, visitors heading into the city for Pride can take advantage of West Midlands Metro’s Park and Ride sites, offering around 700 free parking spaces making it even easier to join the celebrations without the stress of city centre parking over the busy weekend.
