Ticket holders for this weekend’s Pride events in Birmingham can enjoy discounted travel to the heart of the action thanks to West Midlands Metro.

As the city’s LGBTQ+ community, and its friends and allies, take to the streets for a weekend of celebration Metro want to make it as easy as possible, for the thousands that will flock into the city centre, to see performances by Sugababes, Cat Burns, Gabrielle, B*witched and Atomic Kitten and many more on stage,

West Midlands Metro will be showing its support by offering a 20 per cent off its all-zones fare on May 27 or 28 to tickets purchased exclusively from the Birmingham Pride website.

Vicki Bennett, West Midlands Metro Customer Service Manager, commented: “Over the weekend roads around the city will be particularly busy, and parking will be in short supply, so it makes perfect sense to take the tram instead of driving.

“All the main venues are within easy walking distance of our stops and, as an added bonus Pride ticketholders can make great savings on their travel.”

The discounted tickets are redeemable only on the MyMetro app which is available to download from the App Store or Google Play. A range of fare options are also available to customers.

Discount codes have been sent to ticketholders by official ticket sellers Birmingham Pride, so we encourage people to check their emails for the Unique URL codes so they can save on travel this weekend.

“We are proud of our commitment to celebrating diversity and have a zero-tolerance approach towards all forms of discrimination. By offering this deal, we show our support for Pride – an event close to our hearts.” Vicki added.
