West Midlands Metro has introduced a Buy Before You Board system. This means customers must have a valid ticket or travel pass before boarding the tram. There are now several ways to purchase a ticket before travelling, including:
- Ticket machines at all Metro stops
- MyMetro app
- Swift smartcards, including Swift Go
- Direct Debit season tickets
