West Midlands Metro has launched a new community initiative celebrating the experiences of customers who have discovered there’s more to the tram than just a convenient way to travel from A to B.
For many, it has played a leading role in their life story, and now they’re being offered the chance to share their special memories through ‘Metro Moments’.
“Whether you met the love of your life while travelling between Wolverhampton and West Bromwich or commuted every day from Bilston to Bull Street for your dream job, we want to hear from you!” explained Elizabeth Cole, Marketing Manager at West Midlands Metro.
“People travel with us for work, education and leisure, and these everyday moments are what really make Metro special. Over the next few months, we will be publishing a series of heartwarming memories that customers have shared with us.”
“We’ve already heard from couples who met on the tram and are now getting married, and customers who used the network to explore the region on memorable family days out, but we know there are a lot more tales to tell.”
A memorable day out, a first commute, a family tradition, or simply something that made you smile, there is so much to celebrate. Anyone who would like to share their story should visit Metro Moments for more information.
As Metro continues to expand, so will the stories shared through Metro Moments, capturing journeys and tram experiences from across the West Midlands. The first stories will be published online later this month.
“At the heart of the initiative is a celebration of the people and communities behind the tens of thousands of journeys taken every day on our trams,” Elizabeth added.
