West Midlands Metro has been shortlisted for Tram Operator of the Year at this year’s National Transport Awards, one of the UK’s leading transport industry awards celebrating excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement across the sector.
The shortlist is a proud recognition of the dedication and hard work shown by colleagues across the Metro network every day. From operating reliable services and maintaining the fleet to communicating clearly with customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safe running of the network, every team has played a part in delivering the high standards that have earned this national recognition.
Sophie Allison, Metro’s Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for Tram Operator of the Year. This recognition belongs to every colleague across the business, whose commitment, professionalism and teamwork make a difference to our customers every day. Whatever the outcome on the night, reaching the shortlist is something we can all be incredibly proud of and reflects the passion and dedication our teams bring to the network.”
The National Transport Awards winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 1 October, where West Midlands Metro will be showcased alongside some of the UK’s leading transport operators.
