West Midlands Metro is once again showing its support for the region’s LGBTQ+ community with a great travel offer during the Pride celebrations in Birmingham from May 23-25.
This year’s festival features a packed line‑up of top performers, including Katy B, who headlines the two‑day event kicking off on Saturday 23 May. To help everyone enjoy the celebrations, Metro has again teamed up with organisers to offer discounted travel for ticketholders.
A 20% discount on Metro zone 1–4 fares is available to ticketholders attending the Pride parade. After downloading the MyMetro app, passengers simply scan the QR code sent by event organisers via email.
Michael Reading-Skilton, West Midlands Metro Head of Commercial, commented: “Once again, we’re delighted to support this fantastic event that demonstrates the diversity of the vibrant communities served by our network.
“The tram is the most convenient and sustainable way to get to the heart of the action, with services running every four to eight minutes. Also, with more than 700 free spaces at our park and ride sites, visitors can avoid expensive parking and the stress of getting stuck in traffic.”
